It was built in 1892 by Whipple Through Truss Construction.  It was built in 1892 and bypassed 99 years later in 1991.  It's span measures 175 feet.<br />

Bridgeton Mill is thought to be the 2nd oldest continuously private operated mill in the United States.  The mill was built 1823 and rebuilt in 1870.  The mills foundation is actually part of the dam, the water fall is 200' wide.  The mill currently offers cornbread, pancake miss and other 100% stone ground products.<br />

  • 06 October 2013:   The Phillips Covered Bridge crosses Big Pond Creek on County Road South 420 West at County Road West 40 North southeast of Montezuma in Parke County. This single span Multiple King Post Truss structure has a length of 43 feet, or 61 feet including the 9-foot overhang at each end, is 16 feet wide and 14 feet high. Built in 1909 by Joseph A. Britton, though no historical marker is present, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.<br />
