  • 08 February 2012: LEXUS LF-LC CONCEPT: A must see vehicle at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show is the Lexus LF-LC Concept hybrid 2+2 sport coupe that pushes the boundaries of performance, style and technology. Created by the company’s Calty design studio in California, the front-engine, rear-wheel drive LF-LC is equipped with an Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, delivering both performance and fuel efficiency. Sumptuous body curves and the powerful silhouette makes the LF-LC unmistakably that of a serious driver’s car. The LF-LC displays the signature Lexus spindle grille and the taillights, inspired by the look of a jet afterburner at take-off, use inner lighting to create a remarkable sense of depth. Daytime running lights are shaped like an “L” while the vertical fog lamps utilize a fading dot matrix pattern to suggest a sense of movement. The rear is also fitted with fog lamps, repeating the fading dot matrix pattern of the front fog lamps. A glass roof features a lightweight, cantilevered pillar with a glass-to-glass juncture inspired by modern architecture. The interior of the LF-LC expresses a feeling of both openness and security, with the driver enveloped by deeply scooped side panels and a high, curved console. Chicago Auto Show, Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), McCormick Place, Chicago Illinois
