Bridgeton Iron Bridge

19 October 2015: Parke County Indiana is the site of the Indiana Covered Bridge Festival every October.

Bridgeton Iron Bridge is not a covered bridge but a nice example of a Iron truss bridge. This bridge sits east of Bridgeton and spans the Big Raccoon Creek. It was built in 1892 by Whipple Through Truss Construction. It was built in 1892 and bypassed 99 years later in 1991. It's span measures 175 feet.
