2013 SMART TWOFOUR: Designed and engineered by Mercedes-Benz, the 2013 Smart ForTwo is a lean, mean, good looking machine. Available in three gasoline-powered models, as well as the fully-electric TwoFour, the Smart provides a solution for environmental efficiency including conservation of material, space and natural resources. Trim levels include the Pure Coupe, Passion Coupe, Passion Cabriolet and Electric Drive model. Powering the 1,808 lb automobile is a one-liter, in-line three-cylinder gasoline engine that creates 70 horsepower to the rear-wheels. The Electric Drive uses a 51-kW electric motor with lithium-ion battery that generates 41 hp. All Smart TwoFour's come mated to a five-speed smartshift transmission with automatic (for ease) and manual (for fun) modes. Cargo room for the two-seater is a surprising 12. cu. ft. Since safety is paramount, the TwoFour comes packed with features including the protective "tridion safety cell," to help ensure crash compatibility with larger passenger cars, plus electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system and eight airbags. There is seven exterior colors to choose from, and two tridon safety cell colors. Interior can be decked out in six different colors, in leather and color upholstery. For the young and young at heart, the TwoFour offers 14 separate, customizable body panel graphics, or you can come up with your own designs and the company will wrap your Smart however you like. Make sure to check-out the Brabus sport package that transform the Smart into a fiercer dream machine with bolder exterior treatment and eye-catching cockpit.
