12 February 2015: 2015 INFINITI Q50: Now in its second year, the Infiniti Q50 sports sedan will be on display at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, Feb.14-22. Offered in ten models, the Q50 can be order with rear-wheel or Intelligent all-wheel drive configurations. There are two advanced powertrains to select from, starting with the refined 3.7-liter aluminum-alloy DOHC 24-valve V-6, rated at 328 horsepower. An available hybrid features Infiniti's Direct Response Hybrid system that combines a 3.5L DOHC aluminum-alloy V-6 and compact laminated lithium-ion battery design and one-motor/two-clutch motor control. The system's V-6 is rated at 296 horsepower, while the advanced 50 kW electric motor is rated at 67 horsepower. The hybrid system net power is 354 horsepower, providing strong acceleration and lean fuel economy. Both Q50 powertrains are matched with an advanced seven-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with manual shift mode and available steering column-mounted magnesium paddle shifters. Offering a sense of "my car knows me," the i-Key system can recognize each driver and automatically engage pre-set preferences for driving position, heating and cooling, audio, navigation and telematics. Other features include dual-zone automatic temperature control, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, rear view monitor and available Plasmacluster air purifier and around view monitor with moving object detection. Driver-oriented five-passenger cabin is available with leather-appointed seating surfaces, "Kacchu" aluminum trim and available "Fukiurushi" maple wood trim. Three interior colors are offered: Wheat, Graphite and Stone. Effective luggage space is 18.0 cubic feet with the 3.7L V-6 and 14.1 cu. ft. with the hybrid powertrain.
