12 February 2015: Displayed by a female model - 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C: Alfa Romeo likes to call their all-new 2015 4C Coupe, “The Attainable Supercar.” With groundbreaking Italian design and clever technological solutions, the company can offer the 4C Coupe for a fraction of the price of other exotic supercars. With design nods to history, the 4C and 4C Launch Edition makes reference to the style of the 1967 33 Stradale, and combines Alfa Romeo engineering and Maserati manufacturing into one. Outer body is made of Sheet Molded Compound (SMC) that is 20-percent lighter than steel. The monocoque of the Alfa Romeo 4C – weighing only 236 lbs – is a single carbon fiber body, just like a supercar, in which space is cut out for the driver and a passenger. With its transverse-mounted mid-engine configuration, the new, direct injection, 237-horsepower 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, entirely made of aluminum, brings extraordinary performance with a peak torque of 258 lb-ft. to the rear wheels. Sole transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch sequential manual. The combination puts the accent on smooth running for the under 2,500-lb. sports car. And, while emitting baritone exhaust sounds, the 4C can dashes from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, and reach a top speed of 160 mph. A rear storage compartment behind the seating accommodates small parcels. The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C will have a limited production run, including the 500 Launch Editions scheduled for U.S. buyers only.

First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. The 2015 show marks the 107th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. It has been presented by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) since 1935. It is held at McCormick Place, Chicago Illinois
