08 February 2013: 2013 Volkswagon Eos Sport 2.0L turbocharged automobile. Chicago Auto Show, Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), McCormick Place, Chicago Illinois

2013 VOLKSWAGEN EOS: What makes the VW Eos stand out in the North America retractable roof market is that it's the only hardtop convertible with a built-in power sunroof. With its unique four-mode retractable hardtop, the 2013 Volkswagen Eos provides year-round driving enjoyment - rain or shine. In addition to the launch line-up of Komfort, Lux and Executive models, a new, more sport-focused models Sport trim has been added for 2013. All trim levels are equipped with the advanced turbocharged/intercooled 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that cranks-out 200 horsepower and 207 lb. ft. of torque to the front wheels via a fast-shifting six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. First drop of rain, and the top is up in 25 seconds. For entertainment, all Eos models come standard with an eight-speaker touchscreen sound system complete with crystal-clear HD Radio technology, an in-dash six-CD changer, and a Media Device Interface (MDI) with iPod cable to seamlessly navigate playlists, albums and more, plus Bluetooth connectivity. The new top-of-the-line Executive package adds a sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch Kansas alloy wheels, RNS 510 navigation system, and a premium sound system from the Danish hi-fi specialist Dynaudio that delivers a true 600 watts, HD radio and 10-speakers. With the Eos's top raised, the trunk offers a generous 10.5 cubic feet of storage space. With the roof fully-retracted, there is still a usable 6.6 cubic feet. For longer items, a lockable pass-through is integrated into the Eos's rear seats. As VW touts it, the Eos is "a convertible for all seasons."
