12 February 2015: 2015 AUDI R8 V10 Plus: Every inch a supercar, the 2015 Audi R8 Coupe and Spyder challenges convention with the use of new materials and technologies in a visionary way. The German company’s stylish ultra-sports car wears newly structured LED daytime running lights and LED headlights, hexagonal grille, redesigned side mirrors, large, round tailpipe trim and rear lights with innovative dynamic turn signals. Engineered to perform on the track as well as for comfortable weekend cruising, the R8 is offered with a choice of three different engines. Consumers can op for the 430 horsepower 4.2 liter R8 V-8, or one of the two versions of the 5.2L V-10s. The R8 V10 generates 525hp, while the R8 V10 Plus bumps that up to 550hp. All variations come linked to the new seven-speed S tronic double-clutch gearbox that improves performance with smoother shifts. An option is the gated six-speed manual transmission. The 2015 R8 V10 Plus, offered as a coupe only, comes with weight saving carbon fiber side blades, front splitter, rear diffuser, spoiler; a smaller fuel tank; manual Alcantara seats and ceramic brakes. A Bang & Olufsen audio system contains 12 speakers and an impressive 465 watts of power. As the top-of-the-line Audi model, the R8 is capable of catapulting from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reach a top track speed of 196 mph.

First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. The 2015 show marks the 107th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. It has been presented by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) since 1935. It is held at McCormick Place, Chicago Illinois
