Dorothy chainsaw carving in Evergreen Cemetery

Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download

Wide shot of the chainsaw carving by Bill Baker of Top Notch Carving in a storm damaged tree near the grave of the inspiration of the character of Dorothy of Wizard of Oz Fame. The character was portrayed by Judy Garland, whose real name was Francis Gumm. Coincidentally, the grave of John and Joan Gum are just down the row! The 2nd M in was dropped from the last name on the John Gum side of the family. Research appears to like all of them to the same ancestry.
