11 February 2009: 2009 BMW Z4: As the first BMW Roadster with a retractable hardtop, the '09 two-seat Z4 will succeed both the BMW Z4 Roadster and the BMW Z4 Coupe. The Z4's hardtop opens or closes at the touch of a button within 20 seconds. When the hardtop is overhead, a larger heated glass rear window, 40 percent larger side windows, increased headroom and elbowroom enhance driving. Offering the world's first inline-6 engine to feature twin turbochargers, direct fuel injection and an all-aluminum crankcase, the Z4 sDrive35i delivers 300 horsepower and impressive fuel efficiency. The 255 h.p. normally aspirated engine in the Z4 sDrive30i model also delivers excellent refinement, performance and fuel efficiency.. The Chicago Auto Show is a charity event of the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) and is held annually at McCormick Place in Chicago Illinois.
