06 October 2013: The Phillips Covered Bridge crosses Big Pond Creek on County Road South 420 West at County Road West 40 North southeast of Montezuma in Parke County. This single span Multiple King Post Truss structure has a length of 43 feet, or 61 feet including the 9-foot overhang at each end, is 16 feet wide and 14 feet high. Built in 1909 by Joseph A. Britton, though no historical marker is present, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Parke County Indiana is the site of the Indiana Covered Bridge Festival every October
