12 February 2015: 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER: Nissan’s big new for SUV consumers is the debut of the first-ever Pathfinder Hybrid. The 2015 Pathfinder is offered in four models: S, SV, SL and Platinum, with three-row, seven passenger interior, and offered in four-wheel drive (4WD) and two-wheel drive (2WD) configurations, with a maximum 5,000-pound towing capacity. Pathfinder is the only vehicle in class with selectable 2WD, Auto or 4WD Lock modes for its available intuitive ALL-MODE 4x4-i system. Cargo room ranges from 16.0 cu. ft. with second and third row seats upright to 79.8 when seats are folded. An available Dual panorama moonroof creates an even more airy cabin environment. Enhancements to the ‘14 Pathfinder models include a new SL Tech Package, featuring Bose 13-speaker Premium Audio System, Nissan Navigation System, voice recognition, XM NavTraffic and NavWeather capability (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately), Zagat Restaurant Survey, Bluetooth Streaming Audio and 8.0-inch color touchscreen monitor. Visual exterior details include a wide chrome grille, large aerodynamic headlights, muscular fenders, front and rear spoilers, rear tire deflectors and rear suspension fairings to help achieve among the best aerodynamic performance in the segment. Standard 3.5-liter V-6 produces 260 horsepower and is linked-up with the next-generation CVT (continuously variable transmission) for enhanced driver feel and improved fuel economy. The Pathfinder Hybrid comes with a 3.5-liter V-6 as well. It’s assisted by 15 kW electric motor for a combined output of 250 horsepower. Five new exterior colors have been added this model year: Java Metallic, Midnight Jade, Gun Metallic, Magnetic Black and Pearl White. This is the fourth generation Pathfinder, first introduced as a 1986 model. Throughout its 27-year history it has remained one of Nissan's most popular and most recognized nameplates.
