Alan Look is an independent photographer who primarily shoots sports events for The Normalite Newspaper Group. When not shooting sports, he keeps busy making images of animals, automobiles, nature, and other items of interest. Alan likes simple, well exposed images that are full of detail.

Alan has been a working photographic professional since 2000. Alan shoots 35mm traditional (film) and digital Canon bodies. Glass sizes range from 17mm to 600mm. Complimented with lighting gear and computer gear, he can get top quality images and transmit on deadlines.

Alan specializes in sports focusing on volleyball, basketball and football. Often other sports including baseball, softball, golf and soccer. Alan commonly covers: Illinois State University Redbirds, Illinois Wesleyan Titans, Ridgeview Mustangs, Normal Community West Wildcats, Normal Community Ironmen, University High Pioneers, El-Paso Gridley Titans, and the Lexington Minutemen, and Normal Cornbelters. Alan also follows the Tri-valley Vikings, Bloomington Raiders, Bloomington Extreme indoor football, and Prairie Thunder hockey when the time permits. Alan has also covered LPGA and PGA events.

Alan also has a love of other things and combines these interests with his photography to produce both stock photos and fine art. It's not uncommon for to find Alan in state or national parks and places shooting nature, from animals to trees to flowers. Transportation is also a love and Alan takes in as many car shows as he can and frequents the Chicago Auto Show and the McLean County Antique Automobile shows. Other subjects include music, cooking and food, and macro forms of photography.
